The Tulsa Botanical Garden will be getting its first sculpture exhibit and it is one to remember. Lifting The Landscape will be an exhibit that showcases the work of artist Christopher Curtis. Most of the work will be stonework but Christopher Curtis is also known for incorporating stainless steel or bronze into his works. The exhibit will run for over a month but you will not want to miss opening day.

The Grief Center is hosting a movie night for the family on Tuesday, June 12th. This night will bring the world of the dead alive with Disney Pixar’s Coco. There will be snacks and drinks available to purchase at the event and any money earned will go towards Camp Erin Tulsa. Be sure to bring your own blankets, chairs, and pillows for the movie and come early to save your spot.

Tulsa has a monthly story slam where people can come and share their stories in front of a live audience. This event is for people 18 and over and there is no experience necessary to enter the competition. All you need is your story and a voice to tell it. The best story of the night will earn a cash prize and the opportunity to participate in the yearly “Grand Slam” event as well as the title of the “Best Storyteller in Tulsa”.

As Summer becomes official, the Pathways Summer Carnival celebrates the turning point of the seasons. This event is free to the public and consists of a dunk tank, a pet fashion show, balloon animals and so much more. The entire family can enjoy a day of fun from 9 am to 1 pm during this free event at Kirk of the Hills.
