Since January everyone has been marching closer and closer to summer. Summer is when the weather gets warmer, vacations fill the months with activities and adults live the excitement through the eyes of children. But before we get to the summer solstice, there is the month of May. While the summer solstice is in June, many people consider the beginning of summer to be in May and it’s easy to see why. Bark in The Park | May 9

The Tulsa Roughnecks are hitting the field at ONEOK Field and they will be playing against the Reno 1868 FC. But while the game is the main event, there will be another main event going on for the fans. Bark in The Park is when ONEOK Field opens its doors to dogs. You could bring your dog to the game and enjoy special vendors, adoption booths and more during the Tulsa Roughnecks game at ONEOK.

Home Grown | May 12

The Tulsa Symphony is bringing its current season to a close. While symphony lovers are sad to see the season close, there is a great opportunity coming to the community. The last show of the Tulsa Symphony will be “Homegrown: Tulsa Symphony Soloists and Other Uniquely Oklahoma Artists”. The show will be held at the Tulsa PAC and it’s a great opportunity to see some amazing local artists.

Tulsa International Mayfest | May 17-20

There is no need to be a serious art lover to attend one of the most popular things to do in Tulsa in May. In fact, the Tulsa International Mayfest is proof that everyone can enjoy art in its many different forms. Here, you’ll have a chance to enjoy music, crafts, food, dance and so much more. The festival has become a very big event for Tulsa and is open to all ages. Spend the weekend seeing things you love and being introduced to new forms of art that you will love.

Summer’s Fifth Night | Starting May 31

Utica Square’s annual Summer’s Fifth Night is a summer concert series that happens every Thursday night in Tulsa. The event is a chance for everyone to come out and enjoy the weather, music, food and more. The event’s first night is May 31st and starts with Weston Horn and the Hush. The concerts start at 7 pm and go until 9 pm so be sure to bring your dancing shoes and maybe a sweater in case it gets a bit cold.
