Things to do in April 2019 in Tulsa | The Color Run

Many of us have seen the photos on Instagram or online and now, you can be part of the fun. The Color Run is the run that allows you to raise funds for a local charity and fill the scene with colored powder. This specific event is raising funds for River Parks Foundation which works to improve Tulsa’s riverfront. There will be a check-in party on April 5th from 11 am to 7 pm and the actual run will be on Saturday, April 6th starting at 7 am. There are a few different packages you could choose from but all will give you access to the finish line festival.

Things to do in April 2019 in Tulsa | Battle of The Bands

The Junior Ambassadors is a group of Oklahoma high school students that advocate for a better community in many different ways. One of those ways is the Battle of the Bands event at Cain’s Ballroom. This event is on April 5, 2019, and doors open at 6 pm with the show starting at 7 pm. The lineup is filled with up-and-coming acts that vary in genre from rock to hip-hop and everything in between. What makes this event special is that not only are all ages invited but this event is a fundraiser that will benefit the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma.

Things to do in April 2019 in Tulsa | Kendall Whittier Art Festival

Kicking off the spring season in Tulsa is the Kendall Whittier Art Festival. This will turn into a monthly event with the first one being held on April 11, 2019, and the initial festival going until April 14, 2019. There will be art openings, booths with local artists, pop-up shops, and so much more. Everyone is invited to walk through the district to see the art of different kinds all from local artists. In fact, there will even be special activities for kids so the whole family is welcome.

Things to do in April 2019 in Tulsa | 2019 Tulsa Heart Walk

The American Heart Association is coming to ONEOK Field in Tulsa for a fundraising walk event. Everyone is invited to become a walker, donor, or volunteer during this event that will raise funds to help fight heart disease and stroke. Together, cures and treatments can be found and lives could be changed. The event is on April 20th starting at 9 am with the walk starting at 10 am.

Things to do in April 2019 in Tulsa | 17th Annual 80’s PROM

Want to have a prom all over again? Cain’s Ballroom will be transported back to the ’80s during this event on April 27th. Doors open at 8 pm and end at 1:45 am with different level tickets that grant access to different areas of the event. Everyone in attendance will be wearing prom attire but prom attire from the ’80s or in costumes like pop icons, bands, toys whatever you want, just make sure it is ’80s theme. There will be DJ’s playing music from the ’80s everything from pop music to hip-hop and everything in between. There will also be photo booths, fun ’80s lighting and so much more.
